I think I’m sick!
That is, I’m sick of talking about the Kung Flu. President Trump said yesterday that we can expect between 100,000 and 240,000 deaths in America. According to Dr. Deborah Birx, coronavirus response coordinator, "There's no magic vaccine or therapy. It's just behaviours, each of our behaviours translating into something that changes the course of this viral pandemic over the next 30 days." Dr. Birx displayed a chart at the press conference charting a range of 100,000 to 240,000 deaths in the United States, when current efforts at mitigation are taken into account.
Sounds like a whole bunch of people, and it’s having a huge effect on our lives, on our social interaction, on our finances, and on our ability to purchase toilet paper. At this point in life, I have to be so thankful for “Senior Hours” at Sam’s Club!
Perspective! The 2018 population of America is stated to be 327.2 million. If the high number of 240,000 of us (sadly) were to die, that would be zero percent when rounded off to the nearest percent. (It’s actually a little over 7/100 of one percent.) Figures don’t lie, but liars figure! I don’t want anyone to die of this virus, and neither do our political leaders, but many of our leaders actually cheer when a woman’s right to choose passes their legislative bodies, and the nation-wide carnage of such toilet paper legislation totaled, in 2016 according to CDC figures, 623,471 lives lost. No problem, right?
And 100% of Americans will die at some point, with many or most of them going eventually to the Lake of Fire. Talk about a lack of quality of life! We Christians have the vaccination for that one though, and it comes in pill form – “The Gos-pill” of the LORD Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, I’ve been guilty of stockpiling it, so that those who need it most can’t get it. I do have a store where I sell the needed supply, but I’m only open one day a week, and that only between the hours of 10 am to noon, and then again from 6 pm to 7 pm. Those are the hours, and if you can’t make it, “Sorry you’re out of luck…. and you’re out of life.” Kind of a dirty shame.
I’m praying that God intervenes in miraculous fashion, so that our best meaning medical experts are completely wrong regarding the death figures. I’m also praying that our “leaders” stop being so ridiculously hypocritical, bemoaning flu figures, calling Trump a murderer and a President with blood on his hands, while they cheer the ongoing, never ceasing deaths of over a half a million innocents every year! Then I’m praying that I will be more serious in my volunteer efforts to get out that “Gos-pill.” I can stop stockpiling (I’ve already got enough for all of eternity for myself), I can keep the store open 24-7, and if someone needs a discount, I can give it to them freely. After all, Dr. Birx says there’s no magic, it’s just behaviors. Right Dr. Birx – My Behaviors!
Love and prayers to all!
