They call it “Hate Speech.”
Freedom of speech is much more than under assault, it’s being eliminated, especially in the printed medium. Amazon has delisted “When Harry Became Sally” because of content.
At this point, I have to ask myself a question “What is Amazon and why does it matter?” I find that “Amazon.com is a vast Internet-based enterprise that sells books, music, movies, housewares, electronics, toys, and many other goods, either directly or as the middleman between other retailers and Amazon.com's millions of customers.” It is said that Amazon now controls most of the book sales in America, meaning should Amazon delist your book
it is akin to every circa 1960 American corner bookstore taking your book off their shelves, in this case because they didn’t like the content. Understand that this is not dirty talk (that’s protected speech) it is simply speech they don’t agree with. You’re allegedly hating some person or group, and it is not to be tolerated.
Major newspapers have begun to acknowledge the dangers of such “Tech Censorship” which is a good thing, but Congresspersons are getting into the bad side of this by registering with major telecommunications and tech companies their opposition to what they regard as the promotion of “misinformation.” Of course, they claim the right to define just what is and what is not “misinformation.”
There is a Book that has consistently been on the America's top seller list, and that is the King James Bible, but to hear some tell of it, the Bible is full of “misinformation.” Not being a product of 20th and 21st century education, and not caring about what the world calls “politically correct speech” God “tells it like it is” and He knows what it is since He created the world, and He created us! God is love, but when those professing themselves to be wise choose to place their wisdom above God’s wisdom, they become fools (Romans 1:22) declaring God’s love letter to man “Hate Speech.”
I wonder how long before "they" delist God?
