Good Morning Pioneer Baptist!
The stimulus package is expected to pass the House on Friday, the medical people are working on solutions, & the President wants America back to work. Maybe we can get through this after all!
We walk by faith and faith alone, and if we “could” figure it all out, faith would be minimized or eliminated, and that cannot happen. Nobody can explain these human tragedies, and those who claim they can are not to be trusted. I love what Dr. Ruckman said “God knows what he is doing, and nobody else does.” I stand with what I posted yesterday, that every single death is its own tragedy, and yet, every single person will at some point die. The fact is that no one can really “lose” their life. We are all here on a temporary journey, and a short one at that, and then we all move on to the next life. The question is “where will that life be, and what will be the quality of life?” Will it be Heaven and an unfathomably fantastic quality of life, or the Lake of Fire and no quality of life whatsoever? Every evaluation of life here depends on our eternal perspective. Jesus constantly taught an eternal perspective. The minute we lose that eternal perspective, our life purpose and view becomes so warped and so out of focus that it is meaningless. I don’t have answers to tragedies in this life, other than to say “A person of good faith dies and goes to Heaven.”
Paul taught us, while lecturing to Timothy, (2 Timothy 2:3 KJV) “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” We are to be “…patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;” (Romans 12:12) God never said we had to like the tough times, but that we were to endure them and patiently get through them. I personally believe that it would make a mockery of the Christian faith if we were made exempt from the trials of this world. If that were the case, every entrepreneurially minded human being would come to Jesus for the earthly guarantees and benefits, not for love of Christ, and that’s not what He wants. We are to love the LORD Jesus Christ with all of our hearts, minds, souls, and strengths. That’s what He wants!
2 Corinthians 5:6-7 “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Thessalonians 1:4 “So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:” 1 Timothy 3:9 “Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.” 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)” Hebrews 11:13 “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”
1 Timothy 6:17 “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;”
That’s how we Christians view and get through the tough times. One way or another, we’ll get through it! (2 Timothy 4:8) “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
And a stimulus check won’t hurt!
Love & prayers to all
